This anthology issue contains three Western stories. "Indian Massacre at Dead Man's Gulch" features Gunsmoke battling the evil Bat Thurmond, who preys on Native Americans to seize their oil holdings and uses the OSA Champion Grey Feather as his unwilling pawn in a campaign of violence. "Partners in Death" depicts a train carrying a wealthy oil magnate's son and his escort being derailed by Bat Thurmond's schemes, after which Gunsmoke pursues the villain's accomplice. "The Masked Marvel" follows a timid millionaire's son named Chet Fairchild who escorts the beautiful Ellen Field to the ghost town of La Luz to search for a hidden gold mine map, requiring all his courage to overcome "creeping death" and survive the dangerous adventure.
