Gunsmoke #3 This issue contains multiple Western action stories. The main story features Gunsmoke and his men facing off against the rival Ringo faction in a violent confrontation, with Gunsmoke's crew fighting for homes and survival while Ringo's men fight merely for pay. A subplot involves a gold shipment from Kansas City bound for Virginia City that becomes the target of bandits; when the stage is robbed and the gold goes missing, Sheriff Linden pursues the thieves across the territory. The Masked Marvel also appears in a story involving a character named Faro who has killed the Marvel's brother and framed him for a crime, leading the Marvel to seek revenge while protecting a young boy from Faro's pursuit.
