Gunsmoke #4

This anthology issue contains two stories. "Gunsmoke" follows a law enforcement confrontation with Faro's gang, during which Gunsmoke and his allies work to stop the criminals and rescue those in danger. "The Masked Marvel and the Raiders!" depicts Apache raids on cattle herds in Arizona, with the Masked Marvel pitting his brains and strength against the raiders to protect the ranches; the story culminates in a personal tragedy when Jane's father is fatally wounded by the Apache and dies after extracting her promise to seek revenge against the Redskin murderers.
