Gunsmoke #5

This issue contains two Western stories. "Gunsmoke" follows federal marshals hunting down the outlaws Lafferty and Hodges, who are captured after a tense confrontation and taken into custody. "The Masked Marvel" features the mysterious hero battling the "Badmen of Salt Lick"—a gang of outlaws who are defeated when the Masked Marvel intervenes with gunfire and intervention. The second story shifts to the Civil War era, following a woman named Belle Starr who becomes entangled with a mysterious Union cavalry colonel and a guerrilla camp, leading to a dangerous confrontation involving hidden identity and wartime intrigue.
