Gunsmoke Trail #3 (1957) The issue contains a story about a masked rider and wounded men who encounter strangers and discuss a mysterious "new command," with action involving horses and confrontations on a desert landscape. A second story, "Black Stallion," tells of a young Native American boy named Red Feather who befriends a great black stallion and grows to become a wise chieftain, keeping his tribe's valley free as his father Storm Cloud had done.
