This anthology issue contains three stories: an unnamed tale about congressmen and scientists investigating a mysterious force pulling the Earth backward, as revealed through calculations and exploration; "Too Many Cooks" featuring the Hepcats, where the animal characters consult a cookbook and debate entering a county fair baking contest; and "The Greedy Gopher," in which a selfish gopher disrupts Walter Woodchuck's birthday party by eating all the icing, whipped cream, and sprinkles from an elaborate cake, then escaping—only to suffer a tummyache and the contempt of the forest community as punishment.
