Happy Comics #23

Happy Comics #23 is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. The first story involves a small animal character who must confess to eating a large bird, ultimately being sent to his room as punishment, only to escape and go hunting with an older male character. "Ernie the Earthworm" by Lil K. Scott follows an earthworm who befriends Freddie Fox and, when the fox family becomes trapped in their den by a landslide, helps them escape by digging new passages and finding the quickest route to safety, earning praise from Freddie for his heroism.
