He-Man #1 (1952) This is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "We Who Are About to Die" follows a boxing match where a fighter named Tiger is offered money by Mr. Marden to throw a charity boxing match, but the fighter refuses to participate in what he considers a fixed bout. "The Brave Belmonte" and "He-Man of a Mountain" are also advertised on the cover. The latter story depicts mountaineers attempting to climb Mount Everest, with one climber becoming completely blind during the expedition at 28,200 feet. The visible pages show a confrontation between two mountaineers named Paul and Bunyan on the slopes, where they engage in combat and Paul is struck so forcefully that debris cascades down the mountain.
