The story captures the strain of cultural and class differences as Luise struggles to adjust to a modest life far from the world she knew, while her growing unease around the factory owner’s charming son, Lane, tests her loyalty. Martin Thall’s cover, penciled by Andru and inked by Thall, perfectly frames the emotional distance between home and the past.
