This anthology issue contains at least two romance stories. "Three Is a Crowd" follows a young woman named Janie who initially feels lonely on shopping nights until she meets Johnny on a bus; after overcoming her "secret fears" about being left alone, she and Johnny grow close, only for his attention to another girl named Roberta to create tension that Janie must resolve. A second story features a woman named Mona who becomes romantically interested in Dave, a photographer, but struggles with insecurity about her appearance; when she learns Dave is planning to leave her photographs with modeling agencies, she questions whether she should pursue him or step aside.
