This is an anthology of Western action stories. The first story depicts a cavalry unit ambushed and captured by raiders, with soldiers held at a lake until their escape attempt is thwarted. "Tenderfoot Terror" follows, in which a mild-mannered man arrives in a violent frontier town where a bully named Colby terrorizes the locals; a ranger and Texas drivers arrive to help restore order, and when a banker attempts to flee with stolen money, the ranger intervenes. The stories emphasize frontier justice and the struggle between lawlessness and civilization in the Old West.
