Hit Comics #29
In "Barry the Magician," a 1943 hit from Quality Comics, a young man with mysterious abilities finds himself caught in a bizarre predicament when the diminutive scientist Professor Twerp abducts him to unlock his powers. Written, drawn, inked, and lettered by Paul Gustavson, the story takes a whimsical turn when Bill, under the influence of his powers, forgets his sweetheart and heads straight for Hollywood to ask Hedy Lamarr out on a date. The cover by Ruben Moreira and Jill Elgin captures the zany spirit of the tale.
