Hoot Gibson #6
Hoot Gibson, a friend of Bob Lewis, rounds a bend on the trail and encounters bandits demanding he explain himself. After a scuffle on horseback where Hoot narrowly escapes by leaping to safety, he discovers money in saddlebags and encounters a dying man. Later, Hoot meets with Sally and other locals at a saloon, where a man named Patterson warns him about Weston's gang and hints at a murder plot. Hoot vows to find Patterson's killer and stop Weston, leading to a confrontation where Hoot infiltrates Weston's gang's meeting to gather evidence and ultimately pursues them to prevent them from leaving town alive.
