Hopalong Cassidy #85

Hopalong Cassidy races to catch a killer named Vince Farr before a lynch mob executes him at Twin River, arriving at a ranch where Farr's border, Higby, has died under suspicious circumstances—a coffin is found, but Hopalong suspects the death is a trick and that Farr is hiding in a secret room. The issue includes a backup story, "Whitey Whiskers: Birds of a Feather," in which Whitey rescues a crow caught in a tree by climbing up and freeing the bird, though he tears his pants in the process.
