Hot Rod and Speedway Comics #4

Red Dillard pilots his Jaguar XK-120 in the challenging Harrington Cup road race, competing against rival driver Stig Holst across a 25-lap course on a rural highway. During the race, Red must contend with mechanical troubles—a burned-out clutch that forces him to shift by foot—while Holst attempts to block his progress, but Red's quick thinking and skillful driving ultimately secure him victory. In a secondary story, small-time crook Foots and his partner Hughie attempt to evade police by hiding among cars at a drive-in, only to be discovered by stock car drivers Hughie Davis and Joe Allen, who offer them legitimate work in hot rod customization instead.
