The issue features two main stories. "The Fast Car Loses" depicts Clint Curtis and the Road Knights dealing with a police car being outrun on a closed private road, ending in a screech. "The Novice" follows Julio, who has managed to travel over one hundred and three miles in a foreign stock American sedan, competing against a Porsche in a mountain race where his black sedan marked "police" keeps pace with and eventually passes the foreign racer, despite a one-sided race officer threatening to issue a speeding ticket. Additionally, the issue advertises "The Solid Gold Phoney" as another featured story and promotes a Transogram Sweepstakes contest offering thousands of dollars in prizes.
