Hot Rods and Racing Cars #52

The issue features "Clint Curtis and the Road Knights," in which Clint driving a supercharged Allison engine vehicle at 140 mph on the desert sands encounters a situation involving a bomb and damaged wheels supported by the Road Knights. After a car accident kills one of his brothers and damages the vehicle, Clint becomes determined to prove the car's worth and fix it with help from the Road Knights, a group dedicated to hot-rodding and mechanical work. The story concludes with narrator Tom recounting how he and Clint spent time building and racing their own hot rod around town, eventually being pursued by police while driving recklessly on public roads.
