The issue features "Dragster Without Wheels," a story about a race between a hydroplane boat piloted by Curtis and a dragster driven by Ratty. After obtaining permission from officials, the competitors set up for an unprecedented drag race along an asphalt road running beside a river. During the race, an unscheduled boat driven by someone called Salty Gordon's Sea Queen appears on the water, causing officials in the control tower to become concerned about the interference with the scheduled event.
