An anthology of crime stories based on famous cases. The main story features two criminals, Frank Crowley and Roy Dunninger, who engage in a violent struggle over a woman named Pepper, resulting in her death; the two men are later hunted down, captured, tried for murder, and executed in the electric chair. A secondary story depicts con-men operating along a state highway who are stopped by police during a routine license check, leading to a shootout where one officer is killed.
