I Love You #16 (1957) This issue contains multiple romantic short stories. In "I Love You," a man recounts how he was taken off guard by a woman named Ellen, who taught him a lesson after he tried to stop her from seeing someone; he later learns she was testing him and eventually invites him to a party at the Simms house. "Mermaid Madness" follows a narrator who falls in love with a mermaid while fishing at Pirates Cove, only to discover that what he thought was a magical encounter was actually a beautiful girl with scales and fins. The final visible story shows a man named Jim Cotter helping Gloria after a car accident, filling out an insurance report as a witness and earning her gratitude and affection.
