This anthology issue contains three romantic stories. "Pulsebeat" follows a woman who escapes from Mount Crest Mental Hospital, desperately fleading a man who pursues her, crying out that there is no reason for the trouble. "Yearning for You" depicts a woman overcome by loneliness, cooking alone at night and reflecting that her emotional pain has no cure, while contemplating whether moving to a new city might bring her relief and happiness. "A Time of Torment" tells of Gloria, who discovers that her boyfriend Charles has been seeing another woman named Eileen; when Gloria confronts them at a bus stop in the rain, Charles dismisses her feelings, leaving her heartbroken as he and Eileen depart together.
