"Schoolgirl Crush" follows Lynn, a new teacher at Kentwood High School, who falls for Les, a handsome instructor, only to discover he is already in love with another woman and cannot return her feelings. In a separate story titled "Love Is That Way," a young woman named Jane meets Bob Henderson, a beach buggy driver, and they spend an afternoon together; when Bob reads about Jane's wealthy background and her parents' desire for her to marry a nobleman, he recognizes the clash between their different worlds. The issue explores themes of unrequited love and the obstacles that keep people apart despite their feelings for one another.
