If the Devil Would Talk #1
The Devil boasts to a scholar that he has spent six years corrupting philosophers and blinding them to God's teachings, which filters down through schools, press, and entertainment. When a teacher argues that science proves man is merely a higher animal without a soul, the Devil works to have him elected governor, spreading atheistic ideology. As governor, he implements increasingly authoritarian policies including a no-strike law and extended work hours, claiming these serve national security. When a reporter attempts to expose the government's totalitarianism, authorities arrest and silence him, demonstrating how the Devil's philosophical corruption has led to the rise of tyranny.
