White Eagle defeats Strong Bear in combat after Strong Bear attacks him, and White Eagle is adopted into the tribe as a warrior. When the Pawnee breach a peace agreement and attack the tribe's buffalo herd, White Eagle leads the warriors in pursuit, using the buffalo herd itself as a strategic weapon by turning the animals toward the Pawnee to trap and overwhelm them.
