This anthology issue contains three stories set in the American frontier. "Wild Bill Hickok: Demons from the Cave" follows Magic Arrow, a Seneca chief, as his magical arrows prove ineffective against supernatural demons terrorizing the land, forcing him to seek help from settlers. "Magic Arrow: Demons from the Caverns" depicts a 1675 conflict during King Philip's War when Magic Arrow addresses the Seneca council about stopping a slaughter of both white settlers and Native Americans. "Iron Man of the Dakotas" chronicles Colonel Stephen Kinkle, a cavalry officer and ally of the Dakotas, as he attempts to protect a frontier settlement from attack, with Little Eagle warning of an incoming wagon train carrying enemy rifles and supplies to rival forces.
