"Redskin Raid!" depicts Hannah Dustin of the Massachusetts Colony in 1697, whose courage and daring allowed her to become one of the most famous women of early colonial America. When Thomas Dustin goes to cut logs and Indian war whoops are heard, Hannah must protect the children and warn the nurse; the family flees as Indians approach the cabin. Hannah and the children escape into the woods with soldiers, navigating by moonlight and the North Star while evading their pursuers. After reaching a stream where an old scout stops the party, they successfully throw off their trackers and complete their journey to safety.
