Jack Armstrong investigates an Arctic mystery involving forged serial numbers on a bond. Using microscopic examination and infrared photography, Armstrong and his associate Vic uncover the original numbers and identify the culprits behind the forgery scheme. The story then shifts to follow a secondary plot involving Smithers, kidnapping, and a senorita in an exotic location, before concluding with a flood disaster at a church where injured townspeople must be evacuated while the rising water threatens their lives.
