Jane, a nurse, becomes entangled in a criminal plot when she agrees to take a baby out for a walk and is mistaken for a woman who has stolen furs. After being chased by police and criminals who believe she has evidence linking them to the theft, Jane flees through London and escapes via underground railway tunnels. She and a man named Lord pursue the actual thieves through the tunnels and onto a departing train, where a final confrontation ensues over the stolen furs and the baby's safety.
