Jesse James #8

Jesse James and his gang execute a daring train robbery at Terror Peak, then attempt to rob a bank in St. Genevieve using a woman named Claire Beetham as bait, but the plan goes awry and they end up trapped and imprisoned. While in jail, Jesse is poisoned by a rival but survives by drinking only water, then escapes and encounters El Gordo, a Mexican bandit leader organizing illegal border crossings of workers across the Rio Grande, eventually becoming his new leader.
