Jim Bowie #18
In "Dangerous Enemy," Jim Bowie becomes involved in a conflict between settlers and Native Americans when the troublemaking Charles Evarts arrives in town with his own band of men, refusing Bowie's attempts to keep the peace. Bowie pursues Evarts into the wilderness where he discovers the man hunting a white wolf, leading to a confrontation over Evarts' reckless actions. Bowie gathers concerned townspeople to discuss the escalating danger, and after studying available information, he heads into the woods to deal with the threat before it destroys the settlement.
