John Wayne Adventure Comics #10

John Wayne seeks a giant pearl in an underwater cave to pay for his friend Juan's medical treatment, but encounters danger when a man named Bonanza attempts to claim the valuable pearl for himself. After a struggle involving a fire and gunplay in the wilderness, Wayne confronts Bonanza and forces him to surrender the pearl. In a separate story, an old prospector named Bill reveals to Johnny that he discovered gold years ago in a rough town called Milford, prompting Johnny to join the hunt for the lost gold mine, though the old man's motivations remain suspect.
