"The Pawn!" depicts a crime story adapted from true police and FBI cases in which Phil Kenney, a man raised in the slums who became a hard, bitter criminal and easy mark for the mob, is forced by mobsters to commit murder and take the fall for them. When police pressure Kenney to reveal who really killed the victim—a truck driver—he initially refuses to cooperate, but eventually provides information that leads authorities to apprehend the actual perpetrators. The story concludes with Kenney realizing the mob had manipulated him and vowing never to help them again.
