King Comics #34

Thrilling Comics #34 is an anthology featuring multiple action adventures. The lead story, "The American Crusader," depicts the hero battling Nazi forces who are holding hostages in trenches; the Crusader discovers the Nazis are actually French hostages disguised in enemy uniforms and must prevent their massacre. A second story follows "The Ghost" using a time machine to travel to ancient Egypt, where he materializes in Cleopatra's palace and warns the Egyptian royalty of a twentieth-century intruder before transforming guards into ibises. The issue also includes "The Woman in Red," in which a daredevil girl investigator named the Woman in Red solves a ten-year-old mystery involving a missing statue of Achilles from a city hall.
