Kit Carson #8

Kit Carson faces Apache and Cheyenne warriors on the warpath after discovering that a Ute war arrow and an Osage lance have been found, indicating multiple tribes are gathering to push white settlers out of the West. Wild Bill must stop the scouts before they can coordinate the tribes, but his efforts are complicated when an artist named Antelope breaks his hands in a fall and becomes hospitalized. The story also features a secondary narrative about Wild Bill Hickok's confrontation with the outlaw Sam Bass, a notorious Texas desperado who robs stage coaches and railroad trains until Hickok defeats him in a saloon showdown in Deadwood.
