This anthology issue contains three separate stories: "Deed-a-Day Danny," in which Danny finds a sheaf of wheat and helps get it to a baker to make bread; "Billy Bunter and the Ghost," in which Billy Bunter encounters a ghostly apparition at his school and attempts to uncover the mystery behind it with help from his friends; and "D'Artagnan," a historical adventure featuring the swordsman D'Artagnan sailing across the English Channel and arriving at the Fleur-de-Lys Inn in Amiens, where he must rescue his friend Athos from ruffians holding him captive. A separate story featuring Sexton Blake and Tinker involves a mysterious "Rolling Sphere" invention that must be recovered before it reaches the water.
