"Deed-a-Day Danny" follows young Danny's New Year's resolution to perform good deeds, which quickly goes awry when his well-intentioned actions create chaos—including a taxi accident and a fire alarm incident involving a dog and a cat. A separate story features the adventure of Sexton Blake, a pirate hunter who pursues the villain Tinker in an airplane over the skies, with Blake discovering that Tinker has infiltrated his forces disguised as a guard, leading to an aerial confrontation. The issue also includes a historical narrative about Sir Richard and the discovery of a mysterious tattooed sailor named Amyas, a former crew member of John Oxenham who claims to be a Christian seeking passage to save his old mother.
