This anthology issue contains three stories: "Cricket Jinks on the Village Green," a humorous scene of chaotic cricket match activity on a village green with numerous characters engaged in various sports mishaps; "The Ten Tasks of White Eagle," in which a brave Indian boy named White Eagle undertakes dangerous quests to save Heather Brierly, the daughter of a white settler, from the Delaware tribe; and "The Phantom Sheriff," where the Phantom Sheriff pursues Jack Oates, who has kidnapped a boy and plans to force the boy's father to sign over his gold-rich land, leading to a dramatic chase and confrontation. "Jack, Jill and Jollikins," by Geo. E. Rochester, features the title characters and a magical gnome who, after being turned into ducks by Jollikins, are restored to human form and reunited with their grateful parents.
