In "The H Bomb," Bob and Sandra return to Konga’s island, where a brief dose of shrinking serum brings the giant ape back to his usual size—just in time to help them survive a storm that strands them on a remote island. There, they discover the island is set to be the site of a U.S. H-Bomb test, and as Konga regains his full strength, he uses a mirror to signal for help. The story, written by Joe Gill and illustrated by Steve Ditko with inks by Ditko, features a striking cover by Ditko and Dick Giordano, capturing the tension of a world on the brink.
