Lance O'Casey #4

Lance O'Casey sails to a tropical island where he encounters a native woman named Marani and becomes embroiled in a conflict between the islanders and a mysterious Flame God worshipped by King Daravi. After discovering that the island's volcanic gases are poisonous and that the natives have been deceived about a supposed flame deity, O'Casey helps rescue survivors from a shipwrecked vessel called the Santa Maria and leads an expedition to find treasure, encountering ancient stone statues and supernatural phenomena in the jungle underbrush.
