Lash Larue Western #57

Lash LaRue pursues a gang of outlaws who have stolen gold bullion and a sack of mail. After a dangerous chase involving a whip escape from a building trap, Lash battles the criminals at their hideout to retrieve the stolen goods. The story culminates with Lash meeting the Governor, who enlists him to help recover gold that the outlaws plan to transport by train, with instructions to capture the criminals and return the gold before nightfall.
