Life Story #42
A man named Ed struggles with insomnia and anxiety about his future, unable to find peace until his wife suggests they spend time outdoors to relax. Later, while confiding romantic troubles to a friend, Ed learns that Joey has fallen in love with Ed's mother and wishes to marry her, which disturbs Ed deeply. As Ed grapples with this revelation, he eventually comes to forgive Joey and accepts the relationship. Years later, when a successful businessman named Henry Carter arrives in town with plans to make a film called "Home Town Girl," Ed becomes excited about the prospect, and after Henry spends time showing Ed various accomplishments and opening new opportunities, Ed begins to have second thoughts about suggesting his mother move into a home—fearing she would be in the way—though he struggles with whether he can truly go through with such a suggestion.
