Lion #100 is an anthology issue featuring multiple stories. "Captain Condor: And the Space Invaders" by Frank S. Pepper follows a space pilot in the year 3000 who, along with his crew, are outlawed by a dictator and must capture a mechanical crab from a tide-control station at Dover to aid their escape. "The Riddle of the Sacred Beetle" by John Fordice is a Brett Marlowe detective story in which the detective and his chauffeur Rusty travel to Egypt to recover a stolen sacred glass beetle stolen by Egyptian crooks, and must locate Doctor Cuyrol with help from a wandering sheik named El Hassim. The issue also includes "Rory," a story featuring a dog and an Inspector investigating mysterious activities at a mine shaft, plus advertisements, reader letters, and club membership features.
