This anthology issue contains three stories: "Clear as Crystal," in which Little Al and his partner Ox pursue a spy ring headed by a man named Maxon who possesses stolen information about the Army's new atomic artillery shell and passes it through a complex maze on a park street; "Operation Empire State," the main cover story involving blinking lights and secret service operations; and "Timko's Wolfhounds," featuring Little Al behind the Iron Curtain. The visible pages show Little Al and Ox investigating the spy ring's activities while a woman is thrown overboard from a boat during a struggle involving a knife and a glass vial containing classified information.
