Little Audrey #3
Little Audrey #3 (1948) In "Dog-Gone," Little Audrey's mother reads her a story about Saint Bernard dogs that rescue people lost in the snow, prompting Audrey to ask her father for a dime. When her father refuses and she needs something cheap that costs nothing, Audrey and a boy find old furniture in the cellar and set up an impromptu business washing windows and doing odd jobs. Their scheme spirals into chaos when they connect a garden hose to what they think is a water supply line, flooding the neighborhood and nearly catching on a clothesline before being stopped by an adult.
