"I Couldn't Be Unfaithful" follows Diana, who struggles to accept Steve's love because another man—Vic—has always been on her mind. After Steve leaves for a trip, Diana invites Vic to a company picnic, where they share a romantic canoe ride down the river; during a violent storm, their canoe capsizes and they barely survive. "Betty" tells the story of Betty, who meets Don Beyers, a handsome banker, and becomes infatuated with him; she arranges a party at her house to win him over, and by evening they dance together as the attraction between them grows.
