Love Diary #13

This anthology issue contains two main stories. The first, "I Was a Fat Girl!," follows a lonely and unpopular girl who gains confidence after losing weight and begins dating a boy named Johnny, but her pride is wounded when he asks her out on a whim rather than arranging a proper double date, leading her to break things off. The second story, "Prisoner of Love," depicts Joan's struggle between her fiancé Jim Masters and her attraction to Wally Marsh, a charming man who sweeps her off her feet with promises of adventure and a new life; after Wally is transferred to Paris and abandons her, Joan realizes her true love lies with Jim and they reunite, finding genuine happiness together.
