Lovelorn #1

Lovelorn #1 is a romance anthology containing multiple stories. One story follows Bill and Pamela through their high school years, beginning with their first meeting and progressing through senior prom, where Bill asks Pamela to the dance despite her initially wanting to attend with another boy. After prom, their relationship deepens, but complications arise when Pamela's wealthy aunt offers her an opportunity in theater, creating conflict between her ambitions and her devotion to Bill. Another story depicts a soldier named Jake who receives a harsh telegram from his sweetheart Jill, rejecting him and declaring she never wants to see him again; however, when Jake arrives in New York, he discovers Jill's true feelings and they reunite, with Jill jumping overboard from a ship in her emotional desperation before Jake rescues her.
