Lovelorn #11 (March 1951) This issue contains at least two interconnected romance stories. In one narrative, a young woman named Carol becomes involved with Jack Bradford, a man she meets at a party who seems different from other men. After a romantic evening together, Carol learns that Jack has been cast in a new Max Leland musical and rushes to his apartment in excitement, but discovers Jack is out of town. When Carol reaches him by phone at a clubroom in Ithaca, New York, she impulsively decides to travel there to be with him, only to realize too late that her love-driven actions may have complicated their relationship. The second story features a female athlete named Kate whose athletic prowess and genuine friendship with a man named Tod eventually becomes something more romantic, as their unexpected connection deepens into genuine affection.
