Confessions of the Lovelorn #60 (June 1955) This anthology issue contains at least two romantic stories. "The New Floorwalker" follows Anne Clinton, a department store clerk who dreams of a more exciting life with sophisticated men. When the charming floorwalker Alfred Corbett arrives, Anne becomes infatuated despite warnings from her coworker Maybelle; however, Alfred later reveals his feelings for Anne and disputes Maybelle's claim that his carnation was fake, proving his genuine affection and winning Anne's heart. "Never Trust a Woman!" tells of an embittered man who confesses to his nephew Miles about a tragic past love: years ago he was forced to choose between two women and, unable to decide, lost both when the woman he ultimately chose died, leaving him a lonely old man who now distrusts all women.
