"Small Town Belle" follows Debbie Harris, a woman from Carterville who pursued modeling in the city but was rejected by agencies for lacking glamour. Returning home and reconnecting with her childhood sweetheart Greg on a train, she discovers he has become a boxer training for an important fight. When Debbie becomes involved in a dangerous situation that leads to criminal complications, she must decide between her ambitions and her feelings for Greg, ultimately choosing to help him focus on his upcoming bout. The story concludes with Terry, Greg's rival boxer, defeating Greg in the ring, leaving Debbie to reflect on how her interference may have cost Greg the fight.
